I thought we could use a topic that's more politically general than just discussing the various wars that are occurring now. So we can talk about things such as ICE taking over the security at airports and other such similar absurdities.
Thank you for your attention to this matter.

How long will ICE be in our airports before they kill or maim someone? Will the SCROTUS rule that they must leave the airports?

"While our wonderful president was out playing golf all day, the TSA is falling apart, just like our government! Airports a total disaster!"
If you've seen this guy speak at all, you know that he uses the mottle-and-bailey technique all the time, similar to how Trump uses "everyone's saying X" (where X is a claim he wants to say or wants people to believe but knows he can't defend it, so he introduces the position with "other people" saying it, because it's impossible to prove that they don't say these things)
Anyway, Vance says really crazy, inflammatory stuff and then wraps it in a much less objectionable position, one where he's merely considering the crazy stuff as an innocent observer. In this way, he seeks to promote crazy positions (and its attendant irrational thought process) while seemingly not doing anything. It's a pattern of behavior that repeats over and over again, like when his buddy Peter Thiel comes up with some crazy stuff like democracy and freedom being incompatible (for those just tuning in and thinking "wow, that guy sounds like a fascist" you're absolutely right), Vance just says that he believes that Thiel has some "important truths" and merely believes "some crazy stuff on the side". What's true and what's the crazy stuff? Vance never elaborates, and I hope you can guess why.
When Trump dies and this guy gets sworn in, expect this weaselly, manipulative use of language all the time.
