Lots of talk about Trump being the antichrist. The beast. Trump is many pitiful things but there is no such thing as an antichrist. The 666-marked beast/antichrist in Revelations is Nero. The ancients used sums of letters as numbers, a practice called "gematria". While popular culture focuses on the "666 code", the earliest biblical manuscripts provide 616 as the beast's number because in Latin, the name "Nero Kesar" (Nero Caesar) drops the final "N," and when transliterated into Hebrew, it totals 616. Yeah, so much for the beast.

Revelations is a coded critique of the first-century Roman Empire when it looked like the Romans would destroy Jerusalem. So, the apocalyptic sects of Jews, their god defeated by Roman gods, were rooting for an apocalypse as a major reset (as many people with nothing to lose still do.)

Revelation 1:1, Revelation 1:3 and Revelation 22:10 all state "the time is near." Does over 2 millennia seem "near" to anybody? Jesus also says that some of his apostles will not taste death before seeing "the son of man coming in his kingdom". Christianity is a failed Jewish sect. At least the Jews were smart enough to understand Jesus was a failed messiah even though they are just as full of shit with their recycled Canaanite storm god, YWHW.

Yeah. Nero Ceasar was the big boogie man at the time. He blamed Christians for a disaster they likely had nothing to do with, had a bunch of them executed, and when he died, there was never a body recovered. So, there were several false Neros who claimed to be him, and some were somewhat successful in building armies to retake the empire. Early Christians likely believed Nero was literally going to come back and cause a lot of problems for them.

If a god existed and heard of people claiming Trump was the anti-Christ, he would shake his head and sigh….”Jesus H son of mine, they went so stupid so quick….le sigh.
