Why do so many people say "the Straits of Hormuz"? Is there more than one Strait of Hormuz?
Of course Trump calls it "the Straight of Hormuz."

My parents still say "Aldi's" for literally no reason despite being corrected and I've seen people online making loose/lose errors so many times that I barely even notice it now.

I can't help but notice such faux pas. Like Anton Petrov, for example, who often says "sometimes" when he means "sometime." It's just a bit annoying.
