It's almost like the "leopard face eating" memes. Those bison are awesome, though. So glad we still have them. It was a close call. I just read a sad story of a young, mentally disturbed guy who jumped into a tiger enclosure in the UK. Bison are famously territorial and will charge anything that gets too close or anyone who antagonizes them. And physics favors them. Even being in a car doesn't necessarily mean you're safe.
Wild animals, especially anything with horns or antlers or claws or venom, should only be viewed from a respectful distance.
Never try to pet wild animals. It's always better to pet animals that are accustomed to it, like actual pets and tame animals at a petting zoo.
