Yeah, Hitchens once used the phrase "megaphones for fraud".Hydra009 wrote: Sat Apr 11, 2026 1:50 pm Yeah, there are about 20-30% of people here who are 100% addicted to the bullshit and are too dumb/prideful to see reality. They would fully support any horrible thing so it's other people being hurt, again similar to the Russians.
Fortunately, lots of Americans see right through the bullshit and are not okay with any of this stuff. They're in the majority, but they feel like they're a lone voice in the wilderness due to America's mass media perversely echoing billionaire/fascist viewpoints instead of normal prople. Protests are important not only to attempt to affect change but also to show people that they're not alone in their skepticism of military adventurism in the Middle East, which has historically not worked out so well.

Let's blockade the blockade. Brilliant!
Re: Trump's war
I don't see the point to this. The Trump regime doesn't want tankers to pay a toll to Iran in order to use the strait (unless Trump gets a cut)
Trade was chugging along just fine before Trump started the war. So literally doing nothing would have prevented this problem.
But now that Iran knows it can leverage its geographical position to control oil trade, there's no putting that genie back in the bottle and warships can't stay there forever nor can they forcibly clear the strait or bomb Iran into submission. So they ultimately have no choice but to reach some sort of settlement. Iran knows this and basically asked for the moon in their earlier 10-point plan/wishlist. Eventually, the Trump regine will have to agree to some of that, strengthening Iran's geopolitical position.
And what's with Trump abruptly bringing Greenland back up? Is it dementia or some sort of bizarre obsession or does he believe that threatening allies will make him appear strong or intimidate them into doing what he wants?
Its like this guy's foreign policy is being crafted deliberately to harm American interests and American allies while strengthening its enemies.

Yeah that was Putin's plan all along.

Trump is Putin's bitch.

8 ships go through the strait anyway, including sanctioned tankers

Sooo...why do we have the ships there?
