The Atremis rocket's lifespan has already been cut

Based on the Fiscal Year 2026 budget proposal, the Space Launch System (SLS) rocket and Orion capsule are slated to be phased out after just three flights, specifically following the Artemis III moon landing mission. Replaced by the behind-schedule SpaceX Starship, yet the third mission still requires a Starship hauling its human landing system to ferry the Orion crew to and from the moon. Later we use the Amazon Blue Moon Mk. 2 human landing system for the Artemis 5 mission.

Yeah, it's no longer about science but about billionaire's egos and mining on Mars or something.

The NASA mission pictorial doesn't even show the SpaceX Starship, LOL.

If it gets that far. Feb launch was scrubbed at reschedduled for March at the earliest.

I'm not an Elon fan but his is cheaper. Probably not any safer though.
