A very good movie

Last night I saw a movie called The Color of Magic, based on a book by Terry Pratchett. It was a total fantasy, but very entertaining. Kinda funny, as well. Since I've never gotten around to reading any of the Terry Pratchett books, I enjoyed it a lot.

I've read the Colour of Magic years ago. Haven't seen the movie. (It's the one with Sean Astin, right? There are no other film adaptation on Wikipedia.) Aparently it's adapting two books, The Colour of Magic and The Light Fantastic. I remember liking the book well enough, but not enough to read the rest of the series. (Colour of Magic being the first IIRC) Maybe someday as I have finally finished Lord of the Rings.

Yes, Sean Astin was in it, playing the first tourist in Discworld, TwoFlowers. Seemed like such a dweeb at first, but he turned out to be quite handy.

In the last couple of days I saw The Amazing Spiderman (2012) and the sequel (2014) and both were excellent!

It's a bit like ancient mythology, a bit like Star Wars, and a bit like Raiders of the Lost Ark. It's the first of what is supposed to be a trilogy, so I really hope the next two sequels get made!

Also, I don't know if they made the other two movies yet. They have a teaser poster, no subtitle, a listed cast that was signed on. The first was kickstarted and appears to be up on Youtube. I thought I was clicking on the trailer, turned out to be over 90mins long. So, likely there will be kickstaters for the next two movies.
