It is dangerous to be a Russian general. They are fair game for Putin, the Ukrainian military and pissed off Russians. Plus, at the beginning of the war, they were putting relatively high commanders way up close to the front.

Yes, I distinctly remember the uncomfortableness of that scene. I know a few who will not eat a cherry tomato because of the squishy texture, even though they like the sauce.

If the US had a real leader, Ukraine would have won that war by now. Fortunately, under Biden they did get support when they needed it most.

Sunk cost will pay off eventually sums up a few projects I worked on. On time we finished up, and the management told us to shrink-wrap all that new gear and place it in storage. Putin needs to start thinking about "sunk costs".

Beautiful and man, that is OLD even for a tree! For vertebrates the age champ is the Greenland Shark estimated at 250 to over 400 years however there is the so-called Immortal Jellyfish for invertebrates. Never dies, just reverts to its juvenile stage.
